Poitiers, in the Vienne department, is classed as an 'Art and History ' town with several notable historical figures having had ancestral homes here: Aliénor d'Aquitaine, Diane de Poitiers, Richard the Lionheart, Jean Sans Terre amongst others and many churches in Romanesque style to visit. There are plenty of other attractions too such as the Futuroscope® Park. There is also a strong culinery tradition here, the local cuisine mixing simplicity with quality ingredients: to be sampled in Bed and Breakfasts in and around Poitiers!
Most of our Bed and Breakfast addresses are approved by the four official networks (Gîtes de France, Fleurs de Soleil, Clévacances, Accueil Paysan) or by Tourist Information Centres.
