Bed and Breakfast Marseille

Marseille, the oldest city in France, was born of the sea: it was founded in 600BC by Greeks looking for a new trading outpost, and it remains France’s largest commercial port. Today it’s a vibrant and exciting city , great to visit in Bed and Breakfasts in Marseille to get a feel for the local life. Enjoy the aroma of the local speciality, bouillabaisse, as you wander the narrow streets of the old town, sit in one of the many cafés of the old port, window-shop in the Boulevard Canebière, or visit the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de la Garde and the old forts from where you can see out to the Château d’If, made famous by Dumas in ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’. Or stay in a Bed and Breakfast a bit further afield, inland at Aix-en-Provence, Salon-de-Provence or Arles, all well-worth a detour; or along the coast in the magnificent Calanques which stretch to Cassis, a gem of a seaside town, or La Ciotat, a lively resort. Wherever you decide to visit, Bed and Breakfasts in and around Marseille will make your trip worthwhile!
