At the gates of the Pays d'Auge the small seaside town of Honfleur is a wonderful place to stay in Bed and Breakfasts in Honfleur, in the footsteps of some of the great Impressionists such as Monet and Courbet. A famous son of the town was Erik Satie, whose house you can visit. Honfleur is also famous for its salt barns with their amazing naval architecture, where 10,000 tons of salt could be stored, used in preseving the fish caught along the nearby coasts. You wouldn't leave this corner of Normandy without sampling the local fare: Camembert and Pont-L'Evêque cheeses, cider and of course Calvados! Bed and Breakfasts in and around Honfleur: a short hop from Le Havre!
Most of our Bed and Breakfast addresses are approved by the four official networks (Gîtes de France, Fleurs de Soleil, Clévacances, Accueil Paysan) or by the Tourist Board.
