Bed and Breakfast Colmar
In the Haut-Rhin department, Colmar, the capital of Alsatian wines, as it is often called, will charm you with its unique atmosphere. The historical centre is one of the largest pedestrian areas in Europe. In the old town, the gothic architecture of the Middle Ages (Saint-Martin collegiate, the Dominican church) and that of the Renaissance era (Maison Pfister, Maison des Têtes), with Vosges sandstone and timber framing, stand side by side, creating a remarkable historical heritage. Don't miss the Unterlinden museum, one of the main museums in Alsace with the famous Issenheim alterpiece, and the Bartholdi museum, dedicated to works of the famous sculptor, born here, who created the Statue of Liberty. The pretty canal area, which formerly served as the butcher's, tanner's and fishmonger's quarter, is now called "little Venice."
And if you decide on a Bed and Breakfast in Colmar break here in December you'll be enchanted by the magical Christmas market- the icing on the cake of a wonderful stay!
Most of our Bed and Breakfast addresses are approved by the four official networks (Gîtes de France, Fleurs de Soleil, Clévacances, Accueil Paysan) or by the Tourist Board.
